I seeing a lot of issues with the new sheet. First, if you have, say a 4/4 card that is only level one, the spreadsheet automatically marks it as Frozen or Unfreeze, depending on the stats and whether or not it is needed based on the selections on the Settings page. This then throws everything else off kilter.

Lt Commander Airiam, Lt Wildman, Lt Ash Tyler and Lt Yar are all missing skills under column I of the Crew sheet (for me. Looks like there are a bunch of missing stats for the # stars) so I think that the sheet will need a look see.

    EDIT:
Did a quick scan through the Stats sheet and it looks like the only place the data is bad is in the Lt area. I cannot guarantee that is the only place, but that is where there are too many or too few stats in the entire sheet.

Do I have to remove the 3 rows with the tab's title in order to sort with Header Row on?
You can do a sorting with 'Header Row on' if you select everything from row 4 on down; fastest way is selecting cell A4 and hitting Ctrl-Shift-Down Arrow, then Ctrl-Shift-Right Arrow.

Thanks, but I think something may be off with those instructions, shouldn't I25 be entered as =100%+$E25+$G25
Yes, typo in my post. The formula is correct, but it should go in the empty I27, not in I25. The J column had missing formulas in J25–J30.
First, if you have, say a 4/4 card that is only level one, the spreadsheet automatically marks it as Frozen or Unfreeze
This is by design and was done as part of the simplification process. As stated, the sheet only provides recommendations for fully leveled crew - it does not provide accurate ones for non-leveled crew. Indicating that you have a crew at 4/4 essentially means to the sheet that they are immortalised. In that case, they are either on your active roster, or frozen, which you only need one toggle for.

If you simply want to keep track of what unleveled crew you have and how many stars you have, the 'Notes' column can be used for that. It is not linked to anything, and you can put whatever you want in there. I myself use it to keep track of how many stars I have for crew that are not fully fused yet.

I can always have a look at seeing if there is a more elegant way to keep track of unfinished crew, but marking them as 'Frozen' seems like a non-ideal solution.
Did a quick scan through the Stats sheet and it looks like the only place the data is bad is in the Lt area.
Thanks. It looks like Lt. Commander Jack Crusher was actually mis-alphabetised in the old sheet, so the stats got misaligned during the move for a couple of the crew next to him. It is now fixed in the 3.00 version that is up. I also did a full compare, and that was indeed the only place where the crew did not line up correctly.

    @Everyone:
Thanks for the support and the feedback so far.
  • Wow Leshy, version 3.00 has been a nice surprise. Calculations are so much faster!

I can see you fixed the corruption around the Lt area... there's also an error with the Doctor Chapel entry (noticeable because there's no skills being displayed).

The number of Best Active Skill on the settings page is not being used, it looks like it's hard coded to 5 at the moment.

Her 4* Base MED skill was missing, it's now in. Thanks!

I cannot replicate this, unfortunately: on my end, changing the setting correctly adjusts the amount of requirements shown on the Crew tab. If it really is going wrong on your copy, are you able to share a link so I can have a look at it?
  • WOW Thanks sooo much for this worksheet!! A lot of work! I copied and got my data transferred... thanks for THAT conversion sheet .... but I did so before the stats page/jack crusher line up was fixed. Is there a way to copy paste or would it be better to re transfer.. this time from 3.0 to 3.0 lol

Oh and very minor items.. Missions/Advanced Cadet/ Alien... pretty sure Ogawa is human, and B'etor is listed twice E15 - Edit - I see now that is based on the stats page so the reference to E15 is nada. Maybe part of that row shift?

EDIT: Nevermind again - apparently it is doing this... I *swear* it wasn't earlier when I was inputting yesterday - maybe it hadn't caught up on formulas when I had looked into it?

Thought/suggestion -- I noticed that on the Collections page, a crew member is listed until they are fully fused. So my 2/4 Niners Kira remains on the "needed" for the Play Ball collection until I mark her as 4/4. Which is awesome, because she hasn't completed the collection yet until she's fully fused.

BUT, on the crew page, 2/4 Niners kira is listed as space/freeze -- is there a way to keep Collection needs on the Crew page until the crew is fully fused as well?

You rock dude - add me to the list that would patreon (or whatever sites) you for all your hard work.

I figured I'd just Active the crew that I wanted to keep showing while they are being leveled, then increase the number of keeps to compensate. I tried to use the Keep, but it strips the reason that you would actually want the character. No biggie.

Just a suggestion to reduce front end calculation. If you expand your filter on the Crew page to include Reason, those cells won't recalculate during a sort operation. I'm not sure how many people sort this page; it was just an observation.

I know I didn't say it in the last post, but the new format is very good. It'll take a minute to get used to it, but it looks great!

  • Thanks for this wonderful update, Leshy. For those wondering how to keep track of non-fully equiped crew, this is how I do it: mark them as Keep and place a number denoting the level and number of stars already obtained in the Notes field.

[Wanted to post an image but was not allowed to]

e.g I have marked Dr Toby Russell as a Keep with a number of 470. That indicates that she has 4 out of 4 stars and is currently at Level 70. Bajoran Dukat is marked as a Keep and is 480. He is also fully fused but is already at level 80 and Armed Philippa Georgiou (Keep - 330) has 3 out of 4 stars and is Level 30. This numerical input allows me to query the Notes column for number ranges e.g. if I wanted to find all Super Rare crew that have 3 stars and aren't fully equiped, I would filter the table to show only 4* crew and then filter the Notes column by Condition > between 300 and 400.

    [Again, no image - sorry!]

Of course, there are many ways to do this but I thought that I would share mine. I got the idea from a post much much earlier in this thread and was using it successfully with the previous versions of this spreadsheet.

I create a Starred column and a Level column, so I can sort by those plus Stars, Status and Name.
  • I have an issue where Changeling Bashir is FF/FE and active. It says freeze him. When I do, his recommendation changes to unfreeze because of voyage capabilities. I know you probably can't replicate something like that, where might I look for a solution?
  • Gracias
  • Great job Leshy, thank you!

The new version looks good! However, I came across two points.
    • I have a 1/5 Gowron which is recommended to Space/Freeze. I have 6 crew marked as need for Gauntlet DIP, only two of them are better than Gowron (according to Stats:BT).
If I remove the active checkbox he is needed for gauntlet.
    • I have 1/4 and 2/4 that are bad now, but would be top of the (4*) list at 4/4. Those are marked as Space/Freeze. I would like to have a recommendation like "Promote/Honor up" if they are in the top3 when FF. Would that be possible.

/Edit: One more thing: "Promote/Honor up" would also be good for crew that can solve missions with more stars. Mudd's Enterprise (Node 2) seems not possible. It doesn't show as need requirement for crew I don't have and none of my crew can do it. Gowron could with more stars.

Version 3.00 of the sheet is now available!

You do great work Leshy! Thank you for sharing. Quick question on the active checkbox. If I have a 3/5 crew member who is FE do I just mark 3/5 or do I also mark Active? Does marking it as Active change the calculations to a 5/5 copy? If not, why would a 3/5 ever be marked as not active, it has to be active if it's not 5/5 since it can't be frozen until it's 5/5.

Thanks for the reports, this was the same issue and is now fixed. The formulas looking for remaining requirements did not correctly grab the ones for active crew if the requirement was not yet fulfilled.
I have a 1/5 Gowron [...] I have 6 crew marked as need for Gauntlet DIP, only two of them are better than Gowron (according to Stats:BT).
The way the Gauntlet requirements work, is that the sheet displays those requirements on the 7 best crew in the game for each skill. As soon as you have collected two of those, the requirement is considered completed and it no longer shows on the ones you do not have.

Gowron is currently indeed #3 on that list, but the requirement will still show on #4–7 as long as you do not have a second one.

That does raise the question on how the Gauntlet requirement should work:
    • Continue as-is: shows who the very best crew in the game are for the Gauntlet
    • Work like the Voyage requirement: shows on all crew that are an upgrade to the crew you currently have

Both solutions have their merit - I might personally favour the latter a bit, but happy to receive input.
I would like to have a recommendation like "Promote/Honor up" if they are in the top3 when FF. Would that be possible.
This would be a somewhat difficult thing to do, as it would essentially require the sheet to do a lot of calculations twice, as it would have to check what crew can do at their current fusing status, as well as what they can do at FF status - and then it would have to compare both.
Mudd's Enterprise (Node 2) seems not possible. It doesn't show as need requirement for crew I don't have and none of my crew can do it.

On my copy, it is correctly showing for those crew that can do it. It seems to be working as intended as far as I can tell.

So, for us long time users of @Leshy awesome sheet, it appears that the Active is different than it was on the old sheet. On that sheet, you would mark a character as Active if they were FF/FE'd. On the new sheet, it simply (probably not the right word) indicates that the character is available at level 100. The calculations assume that the character is fully equipped based on the number of stars you enter in column B.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

What do we need to copy to fix this?
  • Hi @Leshy , many thanks for your wonderful work!

Small comment: Assimilated Troi does not count towards the number of immortalized crew. Formulas are missing in columns J and K.
Most anticipated character not in the game: Mr. Homn

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
This is pretty much correct. There are six possible scenarios (all assume level 100 FE crew):

    Active is on:
    • Stars is empty ( /5): You have this crew member on your active roster, sheet assumes at FF status.
    • Stars is below max (3/5): You have this crew member on your active roster at the indicated star value.
    • Stars is at max (5/5): You have this crew member on your active roster at FF status.

    Active is off:
    • Stars is empty ( /5): You do not have this crew member. Requirements shown are for crew member at FF status.
    • Stars is below max (3/5): You do not have this crew member. Requirements shown are for crew member at indicated star value.
    • Stars is at max (5/5): You have this crew member at FF status, but not on your active roster: thus, Frozen.
What do we need to copy to fix this?
That would be the formulas in Stats, columns BC, BD, and BF (Reason – Best Stats + Gauntlet, Reason – Voyages, and Count, respectively.
Small comment: Assimilated Troi does not count towards the number of immortalized crew. Formulas are missing in columns J and K.
    Thanks, fixed!

I will probably move the column 'Version' over in the next edition to reduce the chance of this happening.

Awesome as always. As to your gauntlet question.

◦Work like the Voyage requirement: shows on all crew that are an upgrade to the crew you currently have

That's my 2 cents, and keep up the awesome work.
  • Would it be possible to add a count of "Active" crew at the bottom?

As the differences aren't that high, in my eyes a rewriting isn't worth the effort.

That's what I thought. I'll see how I can make this work for me. How is the "Best Base Value" working? Is that similar to the current Gauntlet rating?

I guess it is working as intended, but with the certain set of crew, there won't be anyone listed as capable. I.e. if I own all crew that can solve it as FF, but have them at 1 star. The test checks for 1 star stats, which aren't enough. In my example, Gowron yould solve this at 5 stars, but I have only 1. So Gowron isn't marked as needed for the node. Also no crew I do not own would be able to solve the node. The result is, that no crew member appears to be able to do it.
Possible solutions, if wanted, would be to either check against FF stat for mission nodes instead of current fuse level, or run an additional check on FF stats.
I could understand if neither will be done.

  • Is it feasible to have non-immortalized characters whose recommendation is Space, be reassigned to Need when marked as Keep?

On non-immortal crew, when the Keep checkbox is marked, can the recommendation be set to Need?

You shouldn't need to. They aren't reliant on previous releases, just changes.
