  • Not sure why, Episode 7 M12 is showing that my Jadzia 1701 can clear it, but not my Reinforcement Stamets. (Despite Stamets having better base/min/max science score.)
Neither of them get any trait bonus on that node, and I know my sheet is tracking Stamets because he shows up as an option to clear Episode 7 M7.
    Am I losing my mind?
Wait, is this tracking the locked Science Node that is totally skippable and not required for rewards?
I thought the sheet tracked nodes that had rewards associated with them or that locked a path to them, is that not the case?
Mission tab says “Select any missions or mission nodes here that you completed (by getting the rare reward(s) on Epic difficulty).”

Leshy, I'm not sure if I found an issue or its just my copy. I just marked Lt Jack Crusher as Frozen, and he's still showing in the "crew members needed for this collection" in Rare crew.
Sir, I protest! I am NOT a merry man!

    I also have this issue.

The node requires Undercover Operative or Resourceful. 1701 Jadzia Dax is an Undercover Operative, Stamets is neither.
Wait, is this tracking the locked Science Node that is totally skippable and not required for rewards?
    Apparently, yes!

When the sheet was created, the node was included as a locked one, and I never double checked them to see that they were all indeed absolutely required.

I think that this is a fairly odd one out as neither having a reward, nor being in the required path for one. I could indeed take it out of the sheet, but it might not be obvious to those who do not realise that the node is skippable. It's easy enough to mark the mission as completed, so I think I will leave it in for just now

I could take it out of the sheet, but it is not very harmful

I do not seem able to replicate this issue – as far as I can tell, marking him as Frozen correctly checks him off the collection. Can you see if this is still the case for you in the new version 2.24?

Incidentally, an up-to-date version 2.24 is now available!

I am having difficulty rearranging the columns. In addition to a few that I add, I move Stars over in front of Notes. Upon doing so, the Statuses update with Active or Freeze, without any fields in Active or Cryo'd being marked. The same happens when I move Version to the last column. I don't recall that happening before. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for the awesome tool.
  • LeshyLeshy ✭✭✭
Hey, you are not doing anything wrong. There are, however, two formulas in the sheet that refer to the Active and Cryo'd columns by their position as columns 6 and 7 (F and G). If adding in or removing columns ends up moving other columns into those positions, things will end up breaking.

    There are two possible solutions:

    1. Make sure that the columns Active and Cryo'd remain columns 6 and 7 (F and G) when adding or changing columns.

    2. Unhide the 'Stats' and 'Necessities' tabs and find the column 'Owned' on both (D and B respectively). Change the formulas in the first cell to refer to the correct columns and copy the formula all the way down the column. The numbers to change are highlighted below:
    =iferror(if(not(isblank(index('Crew Members'!$A:$F,match($A5,'Crew Members'!$A:$A,0),6))),"x",if(not(isblank(index('Crew Members'!$A:$G,match($A5,'Crew Members'!$A:$A,0),7))),"y","")),"")

    Hi Leshy,

I gave the often requested voayage score a try. I added a column in Stats (Q) to include the sum of the Check Value (N).
    =iferror(large(filter($N:$N,$A:$A=$A788),1)+large(filter($N:$N,$A:$A=$A788),2)+large(filter($N:$N,$A:$A=$A788),3),iferror(large(filter($N:$N,$A:$A=$A788),1)+large(filter($N:$N,$A:$A=$A788),2),$O788))

In the Data tab I changed the query for the Max rating to sort by Q
    =query(Stats!$A:$Q,"SELECT A WHERE E = 'Command' AND D = 'x' ORDER BY Q DESC LIMIT "&$M$3,0)

Now the charaker Sheet tells me if the crew is usable for shuttles (Min) or usable for Voyages(Max). This weeds out some good max rollers with only two attributes, like Minuet or First Officer Saru. For me this seem like the more important information. For missions the best of the voyage ranks is still good enough and I can have a look in the data tab and see for each voyage skill which top contributers I should consider.

    Cheers

/edit: This is only accurate, if the Required Success Rate is set to 50%, I was to lazy to make it independent ;-)

    /edit2
Here is the result comparing the classical max rating and the new voyage rating. I cannot post a link, so figure out how to get it working

  • Hi Leshy,
Is there a date (aproximate) for the 2.25 ?
I'm waiting the new version to transfer from old list.
    Keep the good job.
  • Now I see why the sheet isn't updated as fast as I thought. There is a TON of wait time between required between adding the stats and waiting for the calculations to run.

I'd be more than happy to help compile the data if you need assistance.

Just helping out, I've generated a 2.24A (not official) I've added the new characters and changed the Eugenics Wars collection based on all of the server update notes. I haven't updated the two new missions, as I haven't reverse engineered it yet :)

    Enjoy!

    EDIT

I think that I have the missions figured out, but I had to guess at a value in the formula. Maybe @Leshy can look at it and tell me if I'm close...

Hi, everyone! Apologies for the long wait between updates, but real life has been extremely busy in the past month and I have not had the chance to sit down and go through all updates until now.

Version 2.25 is now available with all the latest crew and trait changes in.

@Ward Serpentine: Ah, I wish I had known you were doing updates, as I think I have just been doing them at the same time as you. Regardless, much appreciated!

Also, as a tip: I have a dev version where there's generally only one row of formulas in and some calculations are turned off. Makes updating much faster, just needs a pass through to copy all formulas all the way down after finalising the sheet.

@Fabs: Thank you very much for the suggestion! I will have a look at it in the coming weeks. It will be a bit tricky to implement well, as an 'overall' voyage score is the easy part to calculate – making sure that the sheet does not recommend a dozen CMD/DIP crew for voyages while saying you do not need any ENG/SCI crew (for example) is the more tricky part.
  • Thanks again Leshy! Just as a heads up for the next version of the sheet, the blue Weyoun Clone 6 was released and looks like it hasn't been included here. Just for the purposes of completion, really :)

Ditto with Prince Bashir (unless you just assume everyone put him in the airlock where he belongs). Also, not sure if it is just me, but I'm seeing some odd behavior from any characters belonging to the Spit and Bailing Wire collection. The sheet keeps wanting me to unfreeze them even though they meet no other criteria to be active.

As always, thanks for your hard work @Leshy !!!

I'm finding that as well. With all data transferred from the previous sheet to the new one, there are crew who are labelled as active or unfreeze but no reason why. And the collections tab doesn't seem to be counting the crew I have so far.

May be formulas aren't quite complete yet, or not matching up? Nevertheless, hopefully this is being bought to Leshy's attention in case there's more work to come :)

Thanks for the reports - my bad, one column of formulas did not copy down correctly. It's now fixed and things should work normally.

And yes, I missed Weyoun Clone 6 in the Announcements forum. Overlooked him as his name wasn't bolded in the post. Don't see an announcement for Prince Bashir in there, though. Will add them both to the upcoming version!

@Leshy Thanks for the tip. If you need any help maintaining the sheet, I'll be more than happy to help. Understand that real life takes priority to game play. The Prince Bashir was a GoTA/STT crossover and I had to dig to find the FF/FE stats. I did have to do a double take when he appeared in GoT as Prince Martell.

EDIT: And it looks like I missed Armus in my update. DOH!

  • @Leshy Here is a link where I've gathered all of the pertinent data for the next round of additions. It still has the data from 2.25; I figured I'd just add as I go.

Quick update with the latest crew and the new mission for Distress Call: Infinity now in!
  • Hi Leshy,
I love the DNA checklist. I just started using it a few weeks ago. It's really great!

    A quick question:
When I went to do the update to the prior version 2.24 (before this morning's update) I redid the Missions page manually. I tried to copy and paste the missions' status (from 2.23) but the rows didn't line up (off by one).
Would you recommend redoing the missions page manually after each update?
    Thanks!
  • It looks like Disguised Chakotay is listed as a gold (5-star) crew; he should be purple (4-star).

It's not usually necessary, but that was a rare case where a change had been made to the missions listing. In the changelog for 2.25 (first tab) you'll see "Removed mission E7M12 Lost Legacy (SCI node). The node does not offer any rewards and can be skipped. Thanks, SirLanik!" That's what caused you to be off by one with a copy/paste. Rare occurrence.
  • Got it. Thanks DaviCon1

I have had some time to sit down and see about implementing some Voyage functionality, as it is a pretty integral part of the game these days. I think I have a basic version working, but it needs some testing. I would be grateful for any comments and feedback from people willing to try it out:

    *** TEST VERSION ***
This version is for testing only - please use the link in the opening post for the latest stable release.
Do Not Airlock Checklist (Voyage Test)
    *** TEST VERSION ***

In the current implementation, the sheet adds the crew members' average rolls for all skills, and sets that as a total Voyage score. The sheet then sorts all crew by their two highest skills, ranking them from high to low. Any crew with a higher score than your second highest active one for that particular skill combination is marked as a recommendation.

It's not a hugely sophisticated selection, and there may be a few downsides or odd results. A crew with 800/800/600 (total: 2200) would for example rank above a 900/900/200 (total: 2000) crew. I am not sure how many cases there are where that really occurs.

It generally also causes three-skill crew to score higher than two-skill crew, but then they are generally also preferable. The only crew not listed are the one-skill crew, as they have no skill combination to match.

Currently, there is also no filter on crew rarity - in principle, even the 1-star crew are counted. To help alleviate the performance impact of the new calculations, I could opt to filter out the lower-star crew, but then I am not sure what would be the best limit for those using the sheet - 4* and 5* crew only?

Anyway, feedback appreciated from anyone willing to have a look. Given that it's a pretty considerable addition, it would be good to ensure that it works reasonably well before definitively implementing it!

All I do is copy the C and H columns (only the mission blocks complete/not complete)

There is a cell merge that will foul up copying the entire thing...

    EDIT:

Also, Leshy removed E7M12 Lost Legacy (SCI node) in 2.25 because even though it is locked, it wasn't a required path.

  • Can a way be programmed to mark crew as needed because they are being used for daily Cadet Missions, as Bridge Crew, as Voyage Crew? Like a drop down via the settings tab? Otherwise they always show as Space/Freeze. (Isn't the 'Space' redundant as it shows up once you've immortalized, and at that point, you can only freeze them?)
    Thanks!
